YAKIMA -- The sudden closure of a Papa John's location in Yakima was not limited to this area.

North Country Pizza, the franchise group out of Colbert, Wash., that owned the Yakima restaurant, decided Monday night to close all of its stores throughout Eastern Washington and Idaho, according to a statement from the Louisville, Ky.-based pizza chain.

The franchise group had stores in Yakima, Spokane, Pullman, Kennewick, Richland and Wenatchee along with the Idaho cities of Coeur d' Alene and Moscow.

The chain is working to find a new franchisee and reopen the stores.
