Get out the apron: Filipino cooking class set for today
The Outreach Committee of Wesley United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Filipino cooking class (2 to 4 p.m.) and dinner (5 to 7 p.m.) as a fundraiser today.
The fundraiser is for Maureen Mould and Joel and Eunice Lewton to help finance their upcoming mission trip to the Philippines this month.
Participants will learn how to cook and will help prepare the evening's meal. Class is limited to 15 people.
The dinner will be buffet style. The cost for the class, dinner and cookbook is $20 per person. Dinner only is $12 per adult and $5 for youth (10 and younger). Music will be provided by the Zuva Marimba Band.

Trinita Nazarene books gospel singer
Trinity Nazarene Church welcomes Jim Arneson at the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday. He is a gospel singer who will also be speaking at the service.

Gospel jamboree scheduled for Mabton
Mabton Grace Brethren Church will hold the first Gospel Music Jamboree of the new year from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 17.
Performing will be Joyful Noise, Heartstrings, Bill Lawson and a variety of others. This month's featured guest is the group A Number of Strings, which features Mike Tweedy, Kristi Hunziker and Jim Thomas.
Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

Choir, orchestra to play at Stone Church
The Northwest Choralons, a traveling choir and orchestra form Northwest University in Kirkland, Wash., will be appearing in concert at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. service at the Stone Church on Jan. 17.
All ages are welcome. Nursery and children's activities are offered concurrently in the kids W.O.R.L.D. area. There is no charge for this event.
There will also be information about Northwest University available in the lobby.

Gospel Messenger to play Old Town Gateway
Old Town Gateway Assembly of God will be hosting Gospel Messenger at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday.
This is the fourth year they have performed.
