YAKIMA, Wash. -- To help parents and high school seniors with the rising cost of tuition, Yakima Valley Community College is hosting a series of seminars Jan. 13.
The events begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Hopf Union Building. Other sessions are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Washington Apple Commission in Wenatchee. They will be conducted in English and Spanish.
The events — organized by the Washington Apple Education Foundation and the Office of College Outreach & Multicultural Services — will focus on what qualities scholarship committees are seeking.
Parents will also receive help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Reservations are now being accepted. Seating is limited.
