YAKIMA, Wash. -- A mix of snow, rain and sleet is expected in the Yakima Valley tonigh as another storm passes over the region.
The Sunnyside and Yakima areas could get up to 5 to 8 inches of snow through tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
The temperature hovered around freezing today, and was 28 degrees at 8:30 p.m.
Several inches of snow fell in the Yakima area Monday night, but the National Weather Service is still gathering official totals.
Some schools reported delays because of the weather.
Weather spotters reported overnight totals of 3.5 inches in East Selah, 3.25 inches in Ellensburg and 3 inches at Peoh Point outside of Cle Elum.
