EASTON, Wash. — A pregnant woman was taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 90, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Annie Mercado, 27, of Kent, Wash., was not hurt, but she was checked as a precaution because she is eight months pregnant, troopers said.
Mercado was riding in a Toyota pickup two miles east of Easton when the driver lost control and hit a GMC Yukon about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a patrol news release. The truck rolled and came to rest on its wheels.
The Toyota driver, 27-year-old Pedro Montano of Kent, and the GMC driver, 68-year-old Roy Grady of Bellingham, were not hurt, troopers said.
Grady hit a third vehicle, causing it to bump a guardrail.
The truck was destroyed; the other two vehicles were driven from the scene.
Mercado, Montano and Grady were all wearing seat belts.
Intoxicants were not involved, authorities said.
