GRANGER, Wash. — A shop containing several Harley-Davidson motorcycles was destroyed in a Sunday afternoon fire, officials say.
The fire was reported at 1:25 p.m. at 610 G Avenue, which is owned and occupied by Steve Herd, according to a news release from the Granger Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find the shop, two outbuildings and a fence on fire. Two nearby homes were threatened, but a quick attack on the flames limited heat damage to just one, authorities said.
Besides the motorcycles, the shop contained a large inventory of motorcycle parts. Total content loss was estimated at more than $100,000, with an additional $70,000 loss for the shop.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause remained under investigation.
