NACHES — A Tieton driver was injured Thursday morning after he rear-ended a dump truck on U.S. Highway 12 about two miles east of Naches, authorities said.

Jeffrey Oshea, 40, was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where his condition was unknown Thursday evening.

According to Washington State Patrol, Oshea hit a car he was following too closely about 10:44 a.m. Thursday on westbound Highway 12.

The truck’s driver, Dusty Stingley, 55, of Yakima, was not injured, according to a news release.

Both  men were wearing safety belts and alcohol is not suspected in the crash. Oshea will be cited for following too close.
