PASCO — A Kennewick man died Thursday in Pasco after his car hit a Yakima woman’s sport utility vehicle, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The crash happened about 6 a.m. on Interstate 182 in Pasco.
Ronald Reidner, 67, died at the scene.
Troopers said Reidner and Yesenia Acevedo, 25, were both westbound when his Honda Accord clipped the rear of her Dodge Durango, causing his car to roll over and land on its top.
Reidner was not wearing a seat belt. Investigators blamed the crash on speed.
Acevedo, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt, according to a patrol news release.
Intoxicants were not suspected as a cause if the crash.
