SUNNYSIDE, Wash. — Four bullets struck a house that had three children inside during a weekend shooting, police.
One of the adults in the house suffered minor skin damage from gunpowder, but no other injuries were reported, according to a news release issued this morning by the Sunnyside Police Department.
The shooting was reported shortly before midnight Saturday in the 1000 block of Decatur Avenue in Sunnyside. Police said they initially learned that someone had shot at the house from a small silver car that drove through the alley.
The male victim refused to identify himself or answer questions from police, and two women in the house were also uncooperative, police said.
A 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of obstructing police. But no additional information on them was immediately available.
Investigators said they had no suspect information.
Anyone with information about the case may call Sunnyside police at 509-837-2120.

We can only hope that these children will be protected from further violence. Sad that the parents wouldn't do anything in their power (including cooperating with the investigation) to keep their children SAFE.
Report ViolationWe simply must teach these gangers marksmanship. If they could shoot better, at least innocent bystanders would be safer and not suffer from the results of wild gunshots.
Sheriff Irwin, is this what you meant when you stated that you didn't want to hassle these people regarding their documents so that they would feel easier giving you information?
The statements in the article don't seem to be on the same page as you. Maybe you should change your policy and start to enforce our laws.
The people you are elected to protect are sick and tired of your cop-out position.
It doesn't matter if they were cooperating or not. You would be too traumitized to even want to say anything especially since all they were thinking about were the kids.
Report ViolationATDM, if they were thinking of their kids they would cooperate.
