GRANDVIEW -- Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is conducting training today at the middle school in Grandview to help build family health literacy. The presentation is based on the book, "What to do When Your Child is Sick."
Families will be followed for six months after the training, which will teach parents about common childhood illnesses in hopes of preventing visits to the emergency room and time away from work or school.
Preregistration is required. Call Amy Gaulke at Yakima Neighborhood Health Services, 509-853-2357. The session will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
