Yakima Herald-Republic

RICHLAND, Wash. — A Prosser woman faces a negligent-driving charge after a crash late Thursday that injured a Kennewick man on Interstate 82, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Alexa Aggeler, 18, was not hurt when her car struck the other driver’s motorcycle about 11:15 p.m. in Richland, according to a patrol news release.

The other driver — 45-year-old William Kalichman — was treated at Kennewick General Hospital. An update on his condition was not immediately available this morning.

Troopers said both vehicles were westbound when Aggeler went onto the right shoulder and then returned to the roadway, striking the motorcycle. Investigators blamed the crash on inattention.

Kalichman was wearing a helmet, Aggeler a seat belt, according to the news release. Intoxicants were not suspected.
