PROSSER, Wash. — Students in the Prosser School District now have a voice at school board meetings.
Two students — seniors Hanna Rankin and Joshua Falce — have been appointed as representatives to the district’s elected governing body.
They will attend school board meetings and share ideas, opinions and concerns, but they will not vote or make motions, according to a district news release.
They began their roles at Tuesday's meeting.
Rankin is the daughter of elected school board member Dr. Tim Rankin, who won Tuesday’s election to keep his seat for another four years.
