The group of students from Selah's sixth-grade SOAR class took a field trip along Wenas Creek, looking for beaver dams and learning about native plants. This class has been coming to the area and tracking beaver dams on the creek since third grade. They marked the location of dams and used a GPS device to note the dam's coordinates as they track the number of dams from year to year.
This is awesome - the best type of learning! I applaud the educators who thought out of the box...
