Man robs Yakima pharmacy of narcotics at gunpoint

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Authorities say a man in a blue Carhartt-type jacket robbed narcotics from a Yakima pharmacy Monday evening.
Yakima police are investigating the 5:10 p.m. robbery at Barton's Pharmacy, 1011 W. Spruce St.
The robber -- armed with a handgun -- gave a pharmacy employee a note demanding narcotics, patrol Sgt. Tony Bennett wrote in a news release. The employee handed over an undisclosed quantity of narcotics.
Nobody was injured during the robbery.
The robber is described as a 6-foot, 170-pound black man between 18 and 24 years old, with some facial hair, and wearing a blue jacket and black pants.
Anybody with information is asked to call 509-575-6200.
Hope the clerk at Bartons is okay. That is a real nice mom and pop pharmacy. Now as for the pill snatcher.what the heck are you thinking? That screams federal..find him catch him and prosecute him to the full.

He might have really really needed medicine. The economy forced him to do it. People on the streets need medicine in these hard times. Especially the ones who crush it cook it and put it in a needle.
