Firefighters set a backfire along the southeast corner of a brush fire that burned hundreds of acres north of Kays Road and west of the Parker area on Sunday. No structures were burned by the fire. Later Sunday evening, Lower Valley firefighters were at the scene of another brush fire in the 2400 block of Houghton Road near Zillah.
