CLE ELUM, Wash. — A 56-year-old Cashmere, Wash., woman is in serious condition after the pickup she was riding in rolled several times on Interstate 90 this morning, authorities said.
Terrea Brinckerhoff was being treated in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, a spokeswoman said.
The Washington State Patrol said she suffered a broken arm and cuts to the head.
The driver of the GMC pickup, 58-year-old Nelson Brinckerhoff of Cashmere, was not hurt, troopers said.
Nelson Brinckerhoff was eastbound outside of Cle Elum at 12:49 a.m. when he fell asleep, according to a patrol news release. The pickup went into the median and rolled several times.
He was expected to be charged with driving with his wheels off the roadway, troopers said.
