With the new Walmart supercenter in West Valley scheduled to open October 14, I checked in with Walgreens to check the status of a store it’s building near Walmart at 6600 Nob Hill Blvd.
A spokeswoman for the Deerfield, Ill., drug store chain told me that it is aiming to open in late October and should have a more precise date in a few weeks.
This is the third Walgreens store in the area. A store at Seventh and Yakima avenues opened in March. The first store opened at the Westpark shopping center on 40th and Summitview avenues in January 2007.
