Prosser yard sale Saturday

PROSSER -- Sellers and buyers will convene Saturday at Depot Square for Prosser's city-wide yard sale.

Booths opens at 9 a.m. in the square, located on Bennett Avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets.

Frenzy Fridays back in Grandview

GRANDVIEW -- The Frenzy has returned.

Grandview Parks and Recreation has reopened Frenzy Fridays, a supervised, open-gymnasium hangout for Grandview Middle School students.

The program meets 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Friday that school is in session at the middle school. It's free and open to all students of the school.

Community Coalition meets Sept. 24

PROSSER -- The Prosser Community Coalition, a nonprofit group aiming to improve safety and reduce crime in the city, will hold its next meeting Sept. 24.

The group will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the Prosser Fire Station.

The group was formerly called the Community Gang Task Force.

Author to sign books today

PROSSER -- Author Amy Snow will sign books today at Sixth Street Art and Gift Gallery.

Snow, of Oakesdale, Wash., is the author of "Summer Snow," a novel about life in a rural farming community.

She will sign from 1-4 p.m. at the gallery, located on Sixth Street near the corner of Meade Avenue.
