CLE ELUM, Wash. -- An 88-year-old man died this morning after crashing his car into the concrete barrier westbound on Interstate 90 about 17 miles west of Cle Elum.
The Washington State Patrol said Warren Shillinger suffered from some kind of medical condition that caused him to swerve his 1990 Ford Fiesta to the left, striking the barrier and spinning back across all lanes before coming to a rest off the right shoulder.
No other vehicles were involved. Shillinger, of South Cle Elum, died at the scene.
