CLE ELUM, Wash. -- A Chewelah, Wash., woman was injured Thursday afternoon when her motorcycle hit an elk about five miles west of Cle Elum, authorities said.
Nancy Marie McCormick, 46, was westbound around 1 p.m. on Interstate 90 when she struck an elk in the right lane, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
She was transported to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital with leg and arm injuries, but hospital officials said late Thursday that she was not listed as a patient there.
That's two accidents involving elk in one week.
Report ViolationI'm not an elk expert... but could they be on the move for late summer or early fall? BTW... I love elk jerky and properly tenderized elk steaks.
Report ViolationMy son came over White Pass on Wednesday while returning from a fishing trip on the coast, and said he couldn't believe how many Elk he had to slow down for. No deer, just lots of Elk.
Report ViolationYou aren't suppose to hunt elk by hitting them with motorcycles. Can't wait till bugling season. Im ready to get a monster bull.
Report ViolationLOL... Is a side car permissible to do the job?
