YAKIMA, Wash. — A car-motorcycle crash on Nob Hill Boulevard this morning disrupted traffic for more than four hours.
Police say they cleared the scene about noon.
The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Nob Hill and South Ninth Avenue.
The motorcycle operator, 59-year-old Douglas Dahlke of Yakima, was taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center to be treated for a leg injury that police said appeared serious.
The woman driving the car was not hurt, police said. She was identified as 31-year-old Marcella Reynaga, also of Yakima.
Authorities initially said that Reynaga apparently failed to yield to the eastbound motorcycle. A news release issued this afternoon said no tickets have been issued because traffic officers are continuing to investigate.
