YAKIMA, Wash. -- Several of the more than 50 Model T Fords are on their way to Ellensburg this morning.

About a month ago, the classic motor cars from around the U.S. left New York for a cross-country car rally celebrating the 100th anniversary of the New York-to-Seattle Ocean to Ocean Endurance Race. There are cars from each state and from countries as far away as South Africa.

Several of the cars were spotted heading into the Yakima River Canyon this morning to be part of a short parade through downtown Ellensburg that will start about 11 a.m.

The Model Ts will be on display for two hours in Kleinberg Park in front of the Northern Pacific train depot at 606 W. Third Ave.

The classic car road trip then continues on backroads to Cle Elum and up to Snoqualmie Pass, where Kittitas and King counties are hosting a variety of activities, including live music, a barbecue dinner and an outdoor movie showing.
