ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The Manastash Ridge Trail will reopen today after a brush fire forced authorities to close it since Monday, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.
The 63-acre fire is expected to be fully controlled by 6 p.m. Tuesday, DNR spokeswoman Debbie Robinson said. It started Sunday night southwest of Ellensburg, possibly due to lightning. However, DNR officials said the cause remained under investigation.
About 60 firefighters and other personnel were assigned to the incident.
