CLE ELUM, Wash. -- A 49-year-old Cle Elum man is listed in critical conditon at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center this morning for treatment of injuries suffered last night when his motorcycle crashed on Sunlight Drive, southeast of here.
David Canady sustained facial injuries, head cuts, broken ribs and a punctured lung in the accident, which occurred at 5 p.m.
According to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, Canady was riding a Yamaha motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve. The cycle’s front tire hit gravel and struck some large rocks. Canady was thrown approximately 25 feet.
He was not wearing a helmet, a news release said.
