Firefighters work to contain a hop kiln fire Friday evening in the 6000 block of Progressive Road near Wapato. The fire, which was reported under control by 9:30 p.m., spread to a worker housing unit, which was destroyed, displacing 19 people.  One person was injured and transported to a hospital. Fourteen units from throughout the Lower Valley responded to the fire.
