YAKIMA, Wash. -- More than $100,000 was raised by 31 Yakima and Ellensburg team-in-training participants to combat leukemia and lymphoma.

The group prepared by training for six months to complete a marathon or half-marathon.

Enrollment is starting for the second training period. Informational meetings are scheduled for July 11 at 5 p.m. at the Hal Holmes Center, 209 N. Ruby St., Ellensburg and July 14 and 17 at 6 p.m. at the Harman Center in Yakima.
