Scholarships
* Betsy Hillman, an employee of The Majestic Theatre in Union Gap and a 2009 East Valley High School graduate, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Motion Pictures Exhibitors of Washington, Oregon and Alaska. She plans to pursue a degree in social services at Northwest Nazarene University.
* Central Washington University student Daniel Ramirez of Toppenish, a psychology and Spanish major, received a $3,000 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to help him travel to and study at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara.
