Johnny M. Hamilton
Johnny Mack Hamilton, 58, of Yakima died Saturday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hamilton was born in Yakima and raised in Toppenish. He worked on the family farm until 1977 and was later employed by Amoco-Tenneco Co. for 17 years, before retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Joy Hamilton; a daughter, Becky Jones of Yakima; his mother, Nita Hamilton of Yakima, a sister, Barbara Halvorson of Yakima; and two grandsons.
A memorial service is pending and will be held at the First Presbyterian Church later this week. Cremation arrangements are by Langevin-Musseter Funeral Home.
Ione E. Layman
Ione Evelyn Layman, 89, of Yakima died Saturday at Summitview Health Care Center. Mrs. Layman was born in Windham, Minn. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Spence and Rob Spence, both of Yakima, and James Spence of Orofino, Idaho; a daughter Jane Dewey of Tacoma; two half-sisters, Ethel Pollilo of Kennewick and Mary Ann Chapman of Weippe, Idaho; a half-brother, Alexander Spence of Weippe; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Langevin-Musseter Funeral Home in Yakima. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Dean Goodwin
Dean Goodwin, 74, of Goldendale died Friday at Highgate House. Mr. Goodwin was a retired electrician.
Survivors include three children, Vicki Chrisman and Karen Peterson, both of Yakima, and Derek Goodwin of Husum, Wash.; his life partner, Joy Dupue of Goldendale; two sister, Lila Walling of Murray, Idaho, and Beverly Yaryan of Mead, Wash.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Langevin-Musseter Funeral Home in Yakima.
