Freisz-Steward

Alison Jewell Freisz and Justin Edward Steward announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Elizabeth Evans of Selah and Kyle and Nora Cornelius of Borger, Texas. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Kim Steward of Centralia, Wash., and Lester and Cynthia Kanzler of Redmond, Wash.

The bride-to-be graduated Eisenhower High School and earned an associate's degree in criminal justice from Yakima Valley Community College. She is studying business management through the University of Phoenix. She is employed at Wells Fargo Insurance Services Northwest Inc., Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Naches High School and is studying criminal justice through University of Phoenix. He is serving in the Army Reserves and is employed by Allan Brothers Fruit Co. in Naches.

An Aug. 22 wedding is planned at Cascade Garden.

 

Kirkham-Allen

Bruce and Sylvia Kirkham of Yakima announce the engagement of their daughter, Contessa K. Kirkham, to Justin E. Allen. He is the son of Carol Damron of Toppenish.

The bride-to-be is attending Whatcom Community College and studying to be a physical therapist assistant. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from YV Tech in fire science.

A September wedding is planned in Yakima.

 

Roberts-Hitchcock

Darryl and Kim Roberts of Selah announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Kay Roberts, to Zane Tyson Hitchcock. He is the son of Kim Hitchcock of Naches and Randy Hitchcock of Montana.

The bride-to-be graduated from Selah High School and is attending Yakima Valley Community College. She is employed at Bi-Mart Pharmacy. The bridegroom-to-be attended Eisenhower High School and is employed at Zirkle Fruit Co.

A Sept. 19 wedding is planned at Ahtanum Youth Park Barn.

 

Aman-Tucker

Brianne Nichole Aman and Kevin James Tucker announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Julie and Mark Hyatt of Gleed and Brian Aman of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Joyce and Dan Tucker of Moxee.

The bride-to-be graduated from Naches Valley High School. She is employed as an accounts receivable clerk at a local business. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from East Valley High School and is employed in the aviation industry.

An Aug. 29 wedding is planned in Gleed.

 

O'Connor-Shimabukuro

Dr. Tim and Kathleen O'Connor of Yakima announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon O'Connor, to Ryan Shimabukuro. He is the son of Victoria Jones of Gig Harbor, Wash.

The bride-to-be graduated from West Valley High School and Gonzaga University. She is employed at Market Leader Inc. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Rainier Beach High School and Western Washington University. He is employed at Bennet's Pure Food Bistro.

A Sept. 4 wedding is planned in Bellevue, Wash.

 

Dunn-Haupt

Leslie Ann Dunn and David Allen Haupt have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Carol Dunn of Spokane. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Clarence and Millie Haupt of Yakima.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor of science and master of science degrees in communication disorders from Eastern Washington University and is a speech-language pathologist for Spokane Public Schools. The bridegroom-to-be earned his electrical technologies degree from J.M. Perry Institute of Technology and is an electrical supervisor for Haakon Industries in Cheney, Wash.

An Aug. 1 wedding is planned in Spokane.
