Beaulaurier -- 62 years
Carl and Alyce Beaulaurier will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary June 30 with a family gathering hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Carl and Alyce were married June 30, 1947, in Holy Rosary Church in Moxee.
The couple has five children, Kristine Sims of Yakima, Scott Beaulaurier of Naselle, Wash., the Rev. Brooks Beaulaurier of Moses Lake, and Denielle Beaulaurier and Brent Beaulaurier of Yakima. They also have six grandchildren.
Showman -- 60 years
Frank and Rose Showman of Yakima celebrated their 60th anniversary June 17. A family gathering is being planned for a later date.
Frank Showman and Rose Marie Williams were married June 17, 1949, in Yakima, where they have lived for 60 years.
Mrs. Showman is a homemaker. Mr. Showman retired from the Yakima Fire Department.
The couple has three children, Vickie Olson and Paula Eakin of Yakima and James Showman of Honolulu. They also have four grandchildren.
Norling -- 60 years
Jack and Lucille Norling of Grandview celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 27 at the Carl Stevens Senior Center.
They were married June 12, 1949, at the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Roslyn. They have lived in Grandview for 59 years.
Mrs. Norling is a retired elementary school teacher. Mr. Norling retired as an elementary school principal.
The couple has three children, John Norling of Grandview, Stephen Norling of Richland and Vicki Chamberlain of Kennewick. They also have two grandchildren.
Kappenman -- 50 years
Jerry and Eileen Kappenman of Selah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 27 with a reception hosted by their children and friends.
Jerry Kappenman and Eileen Bambus were married June 30, 1959, in Tyndall, S.D. They have lived in the Yakima area for 33 years.
The Kappenmans are retired.
Their children are Kregg Kappenman of Belgium, Kelle Montmeny of Yakima, Kristy Kappenman of San Diego and Kyle Kappenman of Yakima. They also have 12 grandchildren.
Dusin -- 50 years
Jim and Shirley Dusin of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 27 with a barbecue and party with family and friends, hosted by their children. A Hawaiian vacation is also planned.
Jim Dusin and Shirley Spomer were married June 27, 1959, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fresno, Calif. They have lived in the Yakima area for 36 years.
Mrs. Dusin is retired from the West Valley School District. Mr. Dusin is retired from Apple Tree Golf Resort.
The couple has three children, James Dusin of Mill Creek, Wash., Pam Stever of Shoreline, Wash., and Randy Dusin of Yakima. They also have seven grandchildren.
Green -- 50 years
Tom and Sylvia Green of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 20 during a dinner with their children at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club in Olympia. The couple also plan an anniversary trip later this year.
They were married June 20, 1959, at the Ladner Lutheran Church in Ladner, S.D. They have lived in the area 43 years.
The couple has two children, Carmen Lowrie of Selah and Mark Green of Olympia.
Bangs -- 50 years
Delmar and Charlene Bangs of Toppenish celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 20 with an Alaskan cruise.
Delmar Bangs and Charlene Wentz were married June 20, 1959, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. They are lifetime area residents and are both retired from Del Monte.
They have two children, Lori Martinen and Stephen Bangs, both of Toppenish, and seven grandchildren.
Upton -- 50 years
Chuck and Judy Upton of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 5 with a trip to Wenatchee and Campbell's Resort in Lake Chelan.
The couple was married June 5, 1959, in Annapolis, Md.
Mrs. Upton is retired from working for Washington state. Mr. Upton retired from the Coast Guard.
The couple has one son, Jeffrey of Yakima, and a granddaughter.
Siekawitch -- 50 years
Richard and Donna Siekawitch of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Whistlin' Jacks on June 13, followed by an open house June 14, hosted by their children. They also are planning an Alaskan cruise and tour.
Richard Siekawitch and Donna Patnode were married June 27, 1959, at St. Joseph's in Sunnyside. They are lifetime area residents.
Mrs. Siekawitch is a retired homemaker and Mr. Siekawitch was self-employed before retirement.
They have four children, Ken Siekawitch, Jody Andreas and Randy Siekawitch, all of Yakima, and Richard Siekawitch Jr. of Everett, Wash. They also have nine grandchildren.
Nelson -- 50 years
Walt and Esther Nelson of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 27 with a buffet lunch with family and their original wedding party in Leavenworth.
Walt Nelson and Esther Blockley were married June 27, 1959, at the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in Tacoma.
Mrs. Nelson is retired from education and geriatrics. Mr. Nelson is retired from the ministry and as a social worker for the state.
The couple has three children, Neil of Gilbert, Ariz., Dean of Pullman, Wash., and Bill of Selah, and eight grandchildren.
Allan -- 40 years
George and Kay Allan of Yakima celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary May 3 with a family gathering and a trip to Alaska.
George Allan and Kay Widman were married May 3, 1969, at Simpson Methodist Church in Pullman, Wash. They have lived in the Yakima area 40 years.
Mr. Allan is an orchardist, and the couple is part owners of Allan Bros. in Naches.
Their children are Mary Wright of Naches and Tom Allan of Yakima. They have three grandchildren.
O'Hare -- 40 years
Bill and Shirley O'Hare of Yakima celebrated their 40th anniversary with a trip to Egypt in April.
Bill O'Hare and Shirley Askins were married June 28, 1969, in Pullman, Wash. They have lived in the Yakima area for 31 years.
Mrs. O'Hare is the owner of Shirley's Cakes. Mr. O'Hare retired as a lieutenant with the Washington State Patrol.
The couple has two children, Heather O'Hare of Las Vegas and Holli Radke of Yakima. They also have one grandchild.
Horton -- 40 years
Bud and Maggie Horton of Yakima celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 27 at a reception for family and friends, hosted by their children.
Bud Horton and Maggie Baumann were married July 4, 1969, in Selah.
Mrs. Horton is a retired para-pro with the Naches Valley School District. Mr. Horton is a retired civil engineer with the Naches Ranger District
They have two children, Jason Horton of Selah and Michelle Gottfried of Yakima. They also have six grandchildren.
Johnson -- 40 years
Daniel and Margaret Johnson of Zillah are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. They will go on a cruise in the fall.
Daniel Johnson and Margaret Fernandez were married June 28, 1969, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Zillah. They are lifelong area residents.
The couple own Kraff's Clothing in Toppenish.
Their children are Christy Johnson of Spokane, Justin Johnson and Jacob Johnson, both of Yakima, and Jessica Johnson of Toppenish.
Dellinger -- 35 years
Kirk and Roberta Dellinger of Yakima celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Alaska in May.
Kirk Dellinger and Roberta Ransier were married June 22, 1974, in Yakima. They are lifetime area residents.
Mrs. Dellinger is employed as an emergency room coder at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dellinger is employed as a manager at Sun Supply Inc.
They have three children, Angela Cook of Yakima, Brianna Benson of Moses Lake and Carissa Dellinger of Yakima. They also have four grandchildren.
Garza -- 30 years
Claudio Jr. and Benita V. Garza of Yakima will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary with a cruise this summer.
Claudio Garza Jr. and Benita Vela were married June 24, 1979, in Wapato. They have lived in the Yakima area 23 years.
Mrs. Garza is employed with the Yakima School District at Davis High School. Mr. Garza is employed with Hewlett-Packard.
The couple's children are Claudio III of Vancouver, Wash., Claudia Nicole, Sarah and Benjamin, all of Yakima, and the late Claudia Marie.
Escobedo -- 30 years
John and Casimira Escobedo of Lacey, Wash., will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary with a winter vacation.
John Escobedo and Casimira Vela were married June 29, 1979, in Wapato. They are both employed by Lakeside Industries.
They have two children, Audrey of Vancouver, Wash., and Johnny Jr., of Lacey, and three grandchildren.
Lounsbury -- 30 years
Rodney and Becky Lounsbury of Naches will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary June 30.
Rodney Lounsbury and Becky Payne were married June 30, 1979, in Naches. They have lived in the area for 49 years.
Mrs. Lounsbury is employed at Kwik Lock Corp. and Mr. Lounsbury is employed at Stephen's Metal.
They have two children, Cari Ransier of Selah and April Lounsbury of Naches. They also have one grandchild.
Urlacher -- 30 years
Ron and Victoria Urlacher of Yakima recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
Ron Urlacher and Victoria Klingele were married June 16, 1979, at Holy Family Church in Yakima. They have lived in the area for 50 years.
The couple's children are Emily Urlacher, Audrey Urlacher and Alisse Urlacher, all of Yakima, and Ted Urlacher of Spokane.
Stroud -- 25 years
Leslie and Mildred Stroud of Yakima will mark their 25th wedding anniversary today.
Leslie Stroud and Mildred Fisher were married June 28, 1984, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They have lived in the Yakima area 68 years.
The couple has seven children, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Hayes -- 25 years
Jeff and Grace Hayes of Yakima celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary June 27 with an open house hosted by their children.
Jeff Hayes and Grace Marquez were married June 30, 1984, in Visalia, Calif. They have lived in the Yakima area for 15 years.
They have three children, Atraya Hayes of Yakima, Cassie Hayes of Spokane and Ian Hayes of Yakima.
