GRANDVIEW, Wash. — Two people were arrested Saturday night in connection with a drive-by shooting on Apricot Road in the Grandview area.
The shooting happened about 7:50 p.m. during a chase in which someone from the trailing vehicle fired at least two shots at the other vehicle. Both vehicles collided in the roadway, with the victim’s vehicle going off the roadway and hitting a railroad tie, according to a news release from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspects fled the scene. Witnesses followed the vehicle to the 300 block of East Fourth Street in Grandview, where the two occupants were arrested. Their names were not released.
The incident was motivated by an unspecifed confrontation earlier in the day, deputies said.
No injuries were reported.
