YAKIMA, Wash. -- A 22-year-old woman is hospitalized in critical condition in Seattle after her car rolled over in the Lower Valley shortly after midnight this morning.

Evelyn Wyena of Brownstown was southbound on Brownstown Road when her 1995 Jeep Cherokee drifted off the road to the west near the intersection of McDonald Road.

Wyena overcorrected causing the vehicle to rollover, according to the Washington State Patrol. Police say she was not wearing a seat belt. Initially taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, she has since been transferred to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

The Jeep was destroyed.
