The Rev. Brandon Reynolds is coming to Yakima from a pastorate at Mountain View Baptist Church in Idaho. He also served as an associate/youth pastor at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Hartwell, Ga.
He and his wife, Meredith, have a 1-year-old son, Gabriel. Both he and Meredith graduated from Toccoa Falls Bible College in Georgia. Reynolds holds a bachelor of science degree in pastoral and family ministries.
A special installation for Reynolds is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 8700 Summitview Ave. A reception will follow.
The Cross Church, formerly First Southern Baptist, began in 1932 in a cabin at the fairgrounds. In 2008, the church merged with Summitview Baptist Church.
