A 50-year-old Fresno, Calif., truck driver is in critical condition at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital after a one-vehicle accident Friday morning.
Trinidad J. Madrigal-Ruiz was driving a 1999 Freightline north on U.S. Highway 97 south of Toppenish when it left the roadway and rolled over, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Madrigal-Ruiz and passenger Sergio R. Segura, 38, also of Fresno, were taken to Toppenish Community Hospital.
Segura was treated for minor injuries and was released. Madrigal-Ruiz was transferred to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
The accident, which destoyed the truck, is still under investigation.
