YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a 23-year-old man who was last seen getting on a city bus Tuesday afternoon.

Police said family and caregivers told them Jesus “Jesse” G. Birrueta functions below his age level.

He was last seen about 3:35 p.m. in the area of 40th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard. He lives near Eighth and Viola avenues, travels only by bus and frequents mainly Lions Park, Kiwanis Park and the West Valley Junior High School park.

He is Hispanic, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 148 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, brown shorts and brown shoes.

Police asked anyone who may have seen him since Tuesday afternoon to call 509-575-6200. Non-emergency information may be reported at 509-457-0207 between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
