ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- A 51-year-old Idaho woman was rescued Tuesday afternoon after falling and breaking her leg during a hike near Umtanum Falls, according to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.

Cindy Johnson of Haden was about a mile from the road and unable to return to her vehicle when she called Kittitas County Search and Rescue. A crew helped her get back to the road and she was taken by a private vehicle to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.
