BROWNSTOWN, Wash. — Three people were wounded in a shooting at a party in the Brownstown area early Sunday, authorities said.
One was being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle; the other two were taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, FBI spokeswoman Robbie Burroughs said in an e-mail message.
Yakima County sheriff’s deputies, Yakama Nation police and other agencies were dispatched about 4:45 a.m. to the 4700 block of Brownstown Road for a report of a shooting at a large party.
Brownstown lies between Harrah and White Swan on the Yakama reservation.
Sheriff’s deputies turned the case over to tribal police after assisting, authorities said. Tribal police and the FBI typically handle cases involving tribal suspects and victims on the reservation.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing, Burroughs said.
Got to love the peaceful treaty days on the Rez.
Report ViolationLooking forward to seeing how the Yakama Elected Officials try and cover up this past weekends violence. They do so well at turning their cheek and acting as if nothing ever happened.
