MATTAWA, Wash. -- The State Patrol is continuing an investigation into a Saturday night accident it suspects involved drugs or alcohol.
Apolinar Garcia Delgado, 45, of Mattawa was injured in the accident, which took place on State Route 24 near Mattawa. He was taken to Kadlec Medical Center in Kennewick and released Sunday.
According to the State Patrol, Garcia was driving east on State Route 24 when his 2001 Ford Windstar crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a semi-truck.
The truck driver, Cory G. Klingenberg, 25, of Moses Lake, was not injured, although his truck was damaged. Garcia's van was destroyed in the crash.
