Next week, "Echoes of Ireland -- The Musical" visits the Capitol Theatre, so you won't even need a passport to check out these authentic Irish tales from the brothers McCourt.

Penned by Pulitzer Prize winner Frank McCourt ("Angela's Ashes") and his younger brother, best-selling author Malachy McCourt ("A Monk Swimming"), the show takes the audience from the dank streets of Limerick, Ireland, to the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn and melds story, song, music and dance.

In the production, actors Jonathan Judge Russo (as Malachy McCourt) and Ryan Wesley Gilreath (as Frank McCourt) bring the literary vignettes to life, along with Ceili master of ceremonies Michael O'Grady and the dance troupe The Magic of Ireland.

The "Echoes of Ireland" performance is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Capitol Theatre, 19 S. Third St. Tickets cost $38 and $45 and are available through TicketsWest, 800-325-7328, or the Capitol Theatre box office, 509-853-2787.
