YAKIMA, Wash., -- An unsafe lane change last night on Interstate 90 about 10 miles west of Easton is blamed for causing a two-car collision, but no serious injuries were reported.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Stephen R. Weaver, 61, of Elk, Wash., and his passenger, Angela Weaver, 38, were eastbound in a 2003 GMC pickup at about 7:30 p.m. when the driver attempted to move into the left lane. Weaver struck Rhonda Edwards, 56, of Ellensburg, who was headed east in the left lane in a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero.
The Weavers went to Overlake hospital as a precaution. The truck was destroyed. The car saw 0about $1,000 worth of damage. All parties wore seat belts. Drugs or alcohol were not involved.
