Hoang-Parmentier

Mai Phuong Hoang and Jerome Christopher Parmentier have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the son of Rev. Luc T. and Loan P. Hoang of Louisville, Ky. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Donald and Priscilla A. Parmentier of Yakima.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky. She is a reporter with the Yakima Herald-Republic. The bridegroom-to-be earned a degree in business administration and marketing and his master's degree from Washington State University. He is employed with Yakima Federal Savings and Loan Association.

A Sept. 26 wedding is planned at St. Paul Cathedral in Yakima.

 

Podruzny-Shelton

Alex and Cheri Podruzny of Yakima announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Ann Podruzny, to Colt William Shelton. He is the son of Sky and Karri Shelton of Kittitas.

The bride-to-be graduated from Highland High School and is pursuing her bachelor's degree in education from Washington State University. She is employed at the YMCA. The bridegroom-to-be earned his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from WSU. He is employed at WSU's Research Civil Engineering department. The couple also serve as counselors at their church in Pullman.

A May 24 wedding is planned at the Red Barn in Colton, Wash.

 

Beauchene-Meshke Gonzales

Gene and Vilma Beauchene of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Greg and Carmen Meshke of Yakima announce the engagement of their children, Stephanie Calley Beauchene and Patrick Lee Meshke Gonzales.

The bride-to-be graduated from Oak Harbor High School. She is a health and wellness market manager for Wal-Mart Co. in Portland. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Toppenish High School and is a manager at Wal-Mart in Portland.

A May 29 wedding is planned at the Casacade Gardens in Yakima.

 

Hansen-Pita

Harley and Linda Hansen of Yakima announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Jill Hansen, to Scott VanDyke Pita. He is the son of Frank and Jeanne Pita of Bellevue, Wash.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Washington University. She is co-owner and CFO of Whisper Ridge Winery. The bridegroom-to-be earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Washington State University. He is an engineer with Max Kuney Construction Co.

A May 30 wedding is planned at the Yakima Country Club.

 

Blair-Lea

Jocelyn Hope Blair and Andrew James Lea have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Doug and Heidi Worsham of Yakima and Charles and Zilke Blair of Daytona, Fla. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Linda Lea and Rick Lea, both of Selah.

The bride-to-be graduated from West Valley High School, Columbia Basin College and MEIPN. She is a teacher at the Montessori School of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Selah High School and Perry Technical Institute's electrical department. He is an electrician with All Phase.

A June 20 wedding is planned at Silver Lake Winery.

 

Russell-De Léon

Jerry and Cheryl Russell of Moxee, Juan G. De Léon of Granger and Margarita A. Castaneda of Mexico announce the engagement of their children, Jennifer Michelle Russell and John De Léon.

The bride-to-be attended East Valley High School and graduated from PACE High School. She is employed in child care. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Toppenish High School. He is a phlebotomist.

A June 20 backyard wedding is planned at the bride's parents' home.

 

Stuart-Murphy

Dennis and Ronda Murphy of Selah announce the engagement of their son, Airman First Class Brian L. Murphy, to Sheri Stuart. She is the daughter of Ron and Lori Stuart of Bellingham, Wash.

The bride-to-be graduated from Ferndale High School and is employed with Verizon Wireless in Bellingham. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Ferndale High School and Wyoming Technical College in Laramie, Wyo. He is serving at Aviano Air Base, Italy.

A July 5 wedding is planned in Bellingham, Wash.

 

Van Belle-Theis

Krystal Van Belle and Jared Theis have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steve and Melody Van Belle of Sunnyside. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Bill and Nancy Theis of Moses Lake.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Washington State University. She is a CPA at Deloitte and Touche in Seattle. The bridegroom-to-be earned his bachelor degrees in management information systems and accounting from WSU. He is CPA at KPMG in Seattle.

A July 11 wedding is planned in Seattle.

 

Campbell-Rice

William and Margaret Campbell of Cle Elum announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon M. Campbell, to Jason W. Rice. He is the son of Don and Patti Rice of Olympia.

The bride-to-be graduated from Zillah High School and South Puget Sound Community College. She is employed with the Department of Financial Institutions in Olympia. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Tumwater High School in Tumwater, Wash. He is employed with Pepsi Northwest Beverages in Olympia.

An Aug. 8 wedding is planned at Evergreen Shores Beach Club in Olympia.

 

Bearup-Detrick

John and Susan Bearup of Selah, and John and Beverly Hosley of Bellevue, Wash., announce the engagement of their children, Jennifer Sue Bearup and Bradley Robert Detrick.

The bride-to-be graduated from Selah High School and earned a degree in elementary education from Central Washington University. She is a kindergarten teacher at Satus Elementary School in Wapato. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Interlake High School. He is a network administrator for Puget Sound Leasing.

An August wedding is planned.

 

Light-St. Mary

Kelsey E. Light and Kelly R. St. Mary have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mel and Linda Light of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Rick and Mikal St. Mary of Yakima.

The bride-to-be graduated from West Valley High School and is pursuing a degree in education from Yakima Valley Community College. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from West Valley High School. He attended YVCC, Bellevue Community College and earned a degree in political science from the University of Washington. He is a licensed mortgage loan officer with Merit Mortgage.

A Sept. 12 wedding is planned in Gleed at Fontaines Estates Winery.
