Genex Cooperative Inc. has hired Matthew Hayter as an area beef representative. Hayter, of Prosser, will provide customized reproductive programs to meet immediate and long-term genetic goals for cattle producers in Yakima and Benton counties. Hayter earned his bachelor's degree in animal science, with a production management emphasis from Washington State University.

 

Human Resources

The Washington State Healthcare Human Resource Association recognized Kathy Franz during its spring conference by establishing the Kathy Franz Award. The award will be given to individuals who show outstanding leadership in the field of human resources. Franz, human resources director for Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, was recognized for being a founder of the association and for 40 years of service.

 

Law

Lorintha J. Umtuch, a pro tem judge for several Northwest tribes in Eastern and Western Washington, has completed the Dispute Resolution Techniques for Tribal Justice Systems at The National Judicial College in Reno, Nev. Umtuch lives in Toppenish.
