ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Kittitas County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed a gas station while accompanied by a young girl wearing a pink coat.
The robbery was reported about 3 a.m. today at the AM/PM convenience store off Interstate 90’s Exit 101, about five miles west of Ellensburg.
The clerk told deputies that the suspect approached the counter, drew a handgun and demanded the money from the register, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. After the clerk complied by handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, the man and the girl left the store.
They are believed to have left heading east on the interstate in a light-colored, four-door passenger car.
The robbery suspect was described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 185 to 195 pounds. He had a neatly trimmed beard and mustache and was wearing eyeglasses, a dark pea coat, blue jeans and white athletic shoes.
The girl, whose first name may be Meadow, was described as small and about 9 years old. She had dark, collar-length hair and was wearing a pink coat.
Anyone with information about the case may call the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office at 509-925-8534.
