Three sought in fatal gang shooting in Othello

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

OTHELLO, Wash. -- Three young men are being sought in a fatal gang-related shooting in Othello.

Adams County Sheriff Douglas Barger identifies the trio as 19-year-old Raul Marmolejo of Royal City, 19-year-old Fernando Montoya of Othello and 21-year-old Juan Carlos Ramos of Othello. They’re wanted for questioning in the shooting death of 19-year-old Ismael Garcia Jr. of Warden on March 18.

Investigators say Garcia was shot twice during a fight between two small groups of rival gang members at Taggares Park. He died after some friends took him to Othello Community Hospital.

Barger says anyone who sees those being sought in the case should approach them and instead should call police or the sheriff’s office.

WOW! Amazing! In Othello, they have names of suspects already. Here, they would have been either withheld or not available due to lack of cooperation by witnesses.
