Bank of the West has hired Margaret Luera as bank manager for its downtown Yakima branch. Luera, who has more than 25 years of experience, previously served as vice president in Premier Banking at Bank of America.

 

Yakima Valley Credit Union has hired Jesse Esquivel as branch manager for its Toppenish branch. Esquivel, who has more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, has held various financial positions in the banking industry.

 

Insurance

Farmers Insurance has added three new District 16 agents.

Lisa Todnem comes to Farmers with a background of customer sales, service, banking and office management. Todnem previously worked in international sales at Racing Strollers Inc. and was most recently business manager of The Capitol Theatre.

Andrea Camden has previous experience in retail customer service and office management.

Silvia Martin, who has lived in the Yakima Valley since 1997, graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance.

 

Medical

Pinnacle Consulting has awarded registered nurse Molli Harrington with two of its "Best in Class" awards. Harrington, owner and administrator of Crescent Health Care Skilled Nursing Facility, was given the awards for achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction based on Pinnacle's customer satisfaction surveys.

 

Group Health has named Bob Burden its district administrator. He will oversee all operations in the East of Cascades district, which includes Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho (Spokane and Coeur D'Alene) and Central Washington (Tri-Cities, Yakima and Walla Walla). Burden has worked at Group Health for 25 years, starting in sales in Yakima.

 

Addiction Professional Magazine has selected Dr. Fred Montgomery for its 2009 Outstanding Clinician Award. Montgomery was one of three chosen nationwide for the award, which honors excellence in clinical care. Montgomery has served as medical director at Sundown M Ranch Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center in Selah since 1975.
