Good afternoon shoppers.
For today’s roundup, we’re staying pretty local:
• First I need to give a correction. I misspelled the name of the new coffee stand on 10 W. Yakima Avenue. It’s Playmaytes Espresso Bar. I apologize for the error.
• Turns out there’s more going on with Kristie Burrill than a stint with Allied Arts.
One of the owners of P. Kabu, a clothing and soap shop at Chalet Place, e-mailed me Monday to let me know that the store has joined forces with the clothing designer and vintage button collector. So Burrill’s clothing designs and vintage button collection will be sold along with the jeans and clothing offered by P. Kabu, located next to Anytime Fitness and Oak Hollow Gallery.
• In case you haven’t heard by now, Macy’s announced Monday plans to cut about 7,000 jobs, about 4 percent of its work force. I burned a call to a Macy’s spokesman for details on if those cuts will hit the Valley Mall. Haven’t heard much so far.
• Kim, my awesome blogger friend at ON Magazine, let me know that Wild Lucy’s, the clothing store on 48th Avenue and Tieton Drive, has a new Web site.
