Star's illness doesn't stop Eisenhower

EAST WENATCHEE -- Minus their leading scorer due to illness, Eisenhower needed someone to step up in its CBBN Cascade Division girls game Friday night.

And the Cadets did, times two.

With Taylor Martin and Kristina Van Alstine scoring season-high totals of 19 and 16 points, respectively, Ike defeated the Wildcats 59-56 for its first league win of the season.

Jessica Bush, the Cadets' top scorer, missed the game. But Eisenhower built a seven-point halftime lead and preserved it with a
20-point fourth quarter.
