YAKIMA -- Two members of the Yakima Eagles Boxing Club have advanced to the regionals in the National Silver Gloves.
Eric Ocampo and Andy Reyes both won state championships last weekend and have advanced to the regional event in Rock Spring, Wyo.
Ocampo, 13, scored a decision over last year's regional champion to capture the 107-pound division. Taking advantage of strong footwork and his left jab, Ocampo won all three rounds.
Reyes, 15, was unopposed in the 106-pound division of his age bracket, earning an automatic berth to regionals.
