Edward G. Blondo
Edward G. Blondo, 90, of Prosser died Wednesday in Prosser.
Mr. Blondo was born in Bowdle, S.D., where he was raised and educated. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Columbia, S.D., from 1936-1938 before moving to Prosser. He owned and operated a bulldozing service and later worked for Benton Cement as a truck driver. He then worked for Juzeler Grain, which later became Pendleton Grain Growers. He retired in 1983.
He is survived by four daughters, Rita Brizendine of Vancouver, Wash., Ramona Dexter of Prosser, Diana Robillard of Grandview and Marilyn O'Neill of Portland; a sister, Luella Ticknor of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday at Prosser Funeral Home, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Concluding services and burial will follow at Prosser Cemetery.
Margaret 'Maxine' Evans Rupert
Margaret "Maxine" Evans Rupert, 82, of Prosser died Tuesday in Grandview.
Mrs. Rupert was born in Portland, where she was raised and educated. She attended Washington State College, where she majored in music and received a bachelor's degree in education in 1948. She taught school in Randal and Kittitas before moving to Prosser. She taught elementary education, music and remedial reading in Prosser and Whitstran for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Rupert of Prosser; two daughters, Sharon Reynolds of Mead, Wash., and Joyce McAdams of Nelson, British Columbia; a son, Evan Rupert of Selah; a sister, Zina Mae Chesley of Prosser; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Prosser.

Jose Angel Gonzalez
Jose Angel Gonzalez, 16 days old, of Zillah died Wednesday in Seattle.
He was born in Yakima.
He is survived by his mother, Alejandra Gonzalez of Zillah, and his grandparents, Salvador and Maria Gonzalez of Zillah.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery.

Melvin B. Weir
Melvin B. Weir, 71, of Yakima died Friday in Yakima.
Mr. Weir was born in Los Angeles and moved to the Yakima area in 1982. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Kath-
ryn Weir; five sons, Duane Weir of
Buckeye, Ariz., Kenneth Weir of Ohio,
Pieter Weir of Pasco, Mark Weir of Kennewick and Michael Weir of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Doreen Taylor of Kennewick and
Lynda Slover of Ohio; 20 grandchild-ren and six great grandchildren.
A gathering of remembrance will be Saturday at the family home on Tieton Drive in Yakima.

David B. Thomas
David B. Thomas, 48, of Yakima died Dec. 27, 2008 in Yakima.
Mr. Thomas was born in Seattle and grew up in Lynnwood. He worked as a park ranger for numerous Washington state parks after graduating from Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon. He moved to Yakima in 2008, after retirement.
Hi is survived by his wife, Mary Thomas of Silverdale; a brother, Michael Thomas of Yakima; and a sister, Kathy Short of Woodinville.
A private gathering is planned for a later date.

Bradley John Phelps
Bradley John Phelps, 54, of Toppenish died Friday in Toppenish.
Mr. Phelps, formerly of Prosser, was born in Seattle. He graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1972.
He is survived by his brother, Doug Phelps of Buckley, Wash.
