Harold J. Alexander
Harold J. Alexander, 92, of Toppenish died Wednesday in Yakima.
Mr. Alexander was born in Toppenish and served in the Army Engineers during World War II. He worked for Northern Pacific/Burlington Northern as a foreman, retiring in the mid-1970s.
At his request, no services will be held.
Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Cruz Francis Donini
Cruz Francis Donini, infant son of Darral Ward and Desert Donini of Yakima, died Sunday.
Besides his parents, survivors include a brother, Joseph Donini; a sister, Haley Donini; and his grandparents, Richard and Sherry Donini and Amelia Winter, all of Yakima.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Calvary Cemetery.
Keith and Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Garry E. Dressen
Garry E. Dressen, 68, of Portland died Monday.
Mr. Dressen was born in Spokane and served in the Navy. He was a sales representative for cleaning supplies. Besides living in Portland and Spokane, he also spent some time in Yakima.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Dressen of Portland; two sons, Shawn Dressen of Spokane and Troy Dressen of Orchards, Wash.; a daughter, Kimberly Mattoon of Portland; a sister, Delores Hovey of Portland; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be Jan. 10 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Aloysious Catholic Church in Spokane.
Hennessey Funeral Home and Crematory, Spokane, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary R. Dutcher
Mary R. Dutcher, 90, of Yakima died Friday at home.
Mrs. Dutcher was born in Peoria, Ill., and moved to Yakima in 1948. She worked at Libby Fruit. She and her husband also owned and operated a laundromat in Moxee.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Dutcher of Yakima and Joy Locati of Seattle; a brother, Jack Kelly of Kansas; a sister, Beverly Armbrust of Illinois; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.
Jack Evans
Jack Evans, 84, of Cle Elum died Wednesday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.
Mr. Evans was born and raised in Seattle. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He moved to the Liberty area in the mid-1960s.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Meyer of Everett, Wash., and Janelle Wilson of Cle Elum; two sons, Jack Evans of Lynnwood, Wash., and Jerry Hubbard of Ellensburg; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial observation will be private.

Julia Campos Garza
Julia Campos Garza, 70, of Grandview died Tuesday.
Mrs. Garza was born in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and settled in Prosser in 1964. After many years of migrant work, she went to work for Twin City Foods. She moved to Grandview after living in Prosser for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ramiro Garza; seven children, Esther Gonzalez, Ludi Gonzalez, Inez Garza, Ner Garza, David Garza, Maui Garza and Anita Murphy; two brothers, Noe Campos and Lazaro Campos; a sister, Josefina Valdez; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with an evening service at 6 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Iglesia del Calvario, 1810 Morgan Road, Sunnyside, with burial to follow in the East Prosser Cemetery.
Stewart J. Gates
Stewart J. Gates, 65, of Sunnyside died Monday.
Mr. Gates was born in Needles, Calif. He worked as a custodian in San Francisco and at the U.S. Public Health Services Hospital until it closed. He also worked at Candlestick Park and the Cow Palace. After moving to Sunnyside, he went to work for the Sunnyside School District as a custodian at Chief Kamiakin Elementary.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; three daughters, Margaret, Meredith and Melanie; four sisters, Dolores Johnson, Muriel Henson, Marguerite Stevens and Jeannie; and four grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until noon Friday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church.
Donald Henry Goodhue
Donald Henry Goodhue, 77, of Grandview died Tuesday.
Mr. Goodhue was born and raised in Grandview and served in the Air Force. He worked for Northern Pacific Railroad as a lineman.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Goodhue of Grandview; two stepchildren, Gordon Fleener of Grandview and Julie Fleener of California; and five siblings, Charlotte Stuckel of Grandview, Ethel Carpenter of Kennewick, Ella Davies of Yuma, Ariz., Marilyn Foster of Richland and Jean Presley of Moses Lake.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview, with burial to follow in the Grandview Cemetery.
Ruby Clare Hoffman
Ruby Clare Hoffman, 87, of Prosser died Wednesday at Sheffield Manor.
Mrs. Hoffman was born in Lincoln, Neb., and was educated in Omaha, Neb. In 1939 she moved to Long Beach, Calif., and worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. She later moved to Cloverdale, Calif., where she continued to live until 2003, when she moved to Saratoga, Calif. She settled in Prosser in 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Hoffman of Kennewick and Chuck Hoffman of Salmon, Idaho; a sister, Viola Mack of Ukiah, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Prosser Funeral Home.
Margaret Irene Larsen
Margaret Irene Larsen, 76, of Yakima died Tuesday.
Mrs. Larsen was born in Portland. She taught elementary school in Seattle, Portland, Lynnwood, Wash., Bremerton, Wash., and Yakima.
Survivors include her husband, Jack G. Larsen of Yakima; two sons, Mark G. Larsen and Cris P. Larsen of Bremerton; four daughters, Jana Marie Hoggins and Debra Ann Hagstrom of Port Orchard, Wash., Lynn Louise Powers of Bozeman, Mont., and Julie E. Querido of Beaverton, Ore.; a brother, Bob LaDu of Portland; two sisters, Terese Klein of Portland and Janet Miyazaki of Washington, D.C.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services are pending at Holy Rosary Parish in Moxee.
Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ronald E. Moses
Ronald E. Moses, 88, of Wapato died Tuesday.
Mr. Moses was born in Snoqualmie, Wash., and moved to the Yakima Valley in the 1940s. He worked at various occupations, including sheet metal and logging as a tree-topper, and he later worked at Hitchcock Sawmill until his retirement. He also owned and operated his own farm and ranch.
Survivors include a son, Joslyn Moses of Wapato; two daughters, Winonna Lozier of Enumclaw, Wash., and Melinda Moses of Toppenish; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Dressing service will be at 9 a.m. today at Merritt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Union Gap Cemetery. At his request, no other services will be held.
Ida Ione Passenger
Ida Ione Passenger, 95, of Yakima died Dec. 8 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
Mrs. Passenger was born in Wapato and raised in Yakima. She moved from Marysville, Wash., to Ellensburg in 1944. She operated a furniture and appliance store in Ellensburg with her husband, as well as an oil distribution service. She moved to Yakima in 1956 and had an orchard and a motel.
Survivors include a son, Dale McNealy of Ellensburg; two stepdaughters, Eileen Stougard of Ellensburg and Jean Foley of Arizona; four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Inurnment graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Tahoma Cemetery.
Cremations arrangements were handled by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.
